I have always taken note of the brief incidental moments that as a whole, people wouldn’t even acknowledge. For example, when in a domestic environment numerous sounds surround you along with reforming elements, creating a naturally syncing juxtaposition. By taking accidental occurrences out of the everyday, and manipulating elements, I attempt to regenerate artificial scenarios/experiences that would otherwise not occur. Therefore, allowing an audience to change their preliminary outlook as the context has changed. For instance when a drop of water hits a hot plate the scintillating noises and the transforming state of water perform for the audience. This then introduces refreshed perspective to quotidian reality. These audiovisual chain reactions formed from juxtaposed sources are reformulated by repetition and timings. Our experience of this is filtered and re-organized determining our ability to see and sense creating a sensorial installation for the viewer. One aspect that fuels my working process is making a space into a place, which is both physical and experimental. This recreation of aggregates creates a phenomenon allowing room for the audience to suggest narratives. By conducting small experiments over time, testing objects and materials to create ‘phenomena-producers’. So I propose just stop momentarily and take on a fresh consideration of how beautifully playful and poetic these instances of discovery are. Combined together these entice the audience to begin to notice similar moments in everyday life.
